Goblins v Faeries (real-life this time!)

I know that this will make many of you green with envy, but I managed to get in an actual, real game against an actual other person the other week. (I’m in Switzerland, so it’s allowed). And it was a good one. Here’s the report. Goblins Doug the Flatulent (a.k.a. My most hated goblin ever!) Beaky Bobby Firespitter Boom Boom McBoom Viscious Midget Dim & Dimmer Faeries (me, trying to use models I don’t normally use, including a first play of a freshly-painted Boulder) The Fencer Belladonna Butterfingers Gwendoline Herbert Growbottom Boulder A brief note on the setup: We ended up with an unusual setup of moonstones, all pretty much in a line across the centre of the board. The goblin player had already called mulligan so the choice was mine. I figured that even they were all central, the moonstones were in a long line so I had the possibility to outflank the goblins and pick off the ones on the sides. Goblins v Faeries (Tabletop Simulator)

This report is of the third game of Paul v Paolo on Tabletop Simulator. Last time around, the goblins struggled to make much of a mark against the faeries, with Ribald and the Goblin Airship having trouble targeting anything. This time, the goblins are tooled up with anti/faery tech and are out for revenge! Goblins Doug the Flatulent The Mortician Shabaroon Firespitter Grub Dim and Dimmer Faeries (Rogues) The Fencer Silvertongue Belladonna Muridae Teetoe Fraya Turn 1 The goblins surge forward, forgetting temporarily about the moonstones all around them. Shabaroon casts Goblin Mischief and distributes energy to Firespitter, Doug and the Mortician, whilst taking a catastrophe for himself. Shabaroon’s luck is matched by that of Dim and Dimmer, who starts the game with a catastrophe, bashing himself over the head as he lumbers forward.                                 The two troupes close in on on...
